Plans and pricing

What a website actually costs

Every figure we charge is in one table: four plans, what each one covers, the extra pages and languages you can add to it, and hosting if you want it. Nothing is hidden until a call, because a price you have to ask for is a price that changes depending on who is asking.

Every plan, side by side

Set the pages, the languages and how you want hosting billed, on any column you like, and the totals move with you. Every price is a floor: we agree the exact figure in writing before anything begins, and after that it does not move.

Hosting and maintenance

Optional on every plan, and this switch changes every price in the table below at once. Saying no to all of it costs you nothing and changes nothing about what you own.

The four plans compared, with the pages, languages and hosting on each one, and what the total comes to.

Built for mobile data, what this means

The speed marks

Every build is tested on a real phone on a real connection, not a laptop on office wifi, and passing Google's mobile speed thresholds at handover is a term of the contract. The exception is a build whose own requirements put those thresholds out of reach, such as a heavy application or a third-party system we do not control. Where that applies we say so before you sign and agree the target we can hold instead.

Editing your own content, what this means

Editing your own content

A simple screen where you change your own text, photos and prices without touching code and without asking us. On the Catalyst plan there is no editor, so small changes are ours to make: either through a maintenance plan or at the hourly rate.

Search setup, what this means

Search setup

The structural work that lets Google understand and list you: real page titles, headings in the right order, a sitemap, and machine-readable descriptions of what you do and where. It is not paid placement and nobody can promise you a ranking, including us.

Knowing what works, what this means

Knowing what works

Visitor and enquiry figures produced by the hosting network rather than by a tracking script in your visitors' browsers. That is why this site sets no cookies and needs no consent banner, and your site gets the same treatment by default.

Support after launch, what this means

Standard, priority and dedicated

Standard means we answer within one working day. Priority means same working day, because a shop that cannot take an order is losing money by the hour. A dedicated team means named engineers who already know your build.

Extra pages, what this means

What counts as an extra page

A full page beyond what your plan covers, designed and built to the same standard as the rest rather than a duplicate with the words swapped. Each one is $140. Every plan has a limit on how many it takes, on purpose: past that limit the plan above is both cheaper and a better fit, and we would rather tell you that here than after you have paid.

Languages, what this means

What counts as a language

A real second language, not a translated copy. The layout mirrors for Arabic, the typefaces change to ones designed for the script, and the wording is set by a person. English is the base on every plan. The Foundation and Commerce plans cover one more of Arabic or French at no charge, and each language after that is $180.

Hosting and maintenance, what this means

Active maintenance

Hosting, the security certificate, security patches as they are published, backups, uptime monitoring, and small text or photo changes on request. It is optional on every plan and declining it costs you nothing. Extra pages add $6 a month each, because there is more site to host, patch and edit.

Quoted with the build

Why this one is not published, what this means

Why this one is not published

A booking platform and a members area do not cost the same to keep running, and a single flat figure covering both would be a number nobody could honour. Hosting and maintenance on a custom build are priced with the scope, in the same written quote as the build itself, before anything starts.

Your estimate, what this means

What the build price is

A single fee for designing and building the site, paid once. It is not a subscription and there is nothing to renew. The figure on each plan is where that plan starts: we agree the exact number in writing before anything begins, and after that it does not move unless you ask for something new.

  • Your first domain is on us, what this means

Your first domain is on us

Every build includes one domain free for the first year: a .com, a .net or a .co. It is registered in your name from the start, so it is yours whatever happens next. After the first year you pay the registrar's renewal directly, which depends on the extension, and extra domains are charged at what they cost.

  • Work after launch is by the hour, what this means

    Work after launch

New pages, new features or a change of direction once the site is live are charged at $65 an hour, or as a flat quote when the job is big enough to be worth scoping properly. You will know which of the two it is before we start. Small text and photo changes are already covered by a maintenance plan.

  • Skipping maintenance costs nothing, what this means

    Handover

The alternative to a maintenance plan. You take the finished code, the domain and the hosting account into your own name and run it yourself or with any developer you like. Nothing is held back and nothing has to be negotiated with us.

  • A one-time build fee. Hosting and maintenance are a separate, optional plan, and declining it changes nothing about what you own.

  • The same price everywhere. One figure, quoted the same in every country, in US dollars. No regional markup and no local discount.

  • Paid upfront, refund in writing. The refund terms are published rather than promised, so you can read exactly what is covered before you commit.

  • You own all of it. The code, the domain and the hosting account go into your name at handover. Nothing to renew, nothing to keep paying us for.

What you get if it goes wrong

Paying upfront is only reasonable if the way out is written down. Here is the short version. The binding wording, including what is never refundable, is on the terms page.

Change your mind early, get it all back

Cancel within seven days and before we have shown you the first design, and you are refunded in full. After that the refund steps down as the work goes in, and it ends once you approve the design and building starts.

Two design rounds, then unlimited fixes

Two full rounds of changes at the design stage, when changes are cheap. Once it is built, anything that does not match what we agreed is fixed at no charge, however many times it takes.

It passes the speed marks, or it isn't finished

Meeting Google's mobile speed thresholds at handover is a term of the contract, not a promise on a page, and if your build misses them we keep working on it for nothing until it passes. The exception is a build whose own requirements put those thresholds out of reach, such as a heavy application or a payment system we do not control. Where that applies we tell you before you sign and write the target we can actually hold into the contract instead.

Read the terms and refund policy in full. It is two pages of plain language, not forty of clauses.

Questions about the money

Why is the price a starting figure and not a fixed one?

Because the same plan can be two different jobs. A clinic with eight simple pages and a firm with eight pages of tables, downloads and a staff directory both sit in The Foundation, and pretending they cost the same would mean overcharging one of them. The published figure is the floor. We agree the exact number in writing before anything starts, and after that it does not move unless you ask for something new.

Do prices change depending on where I am?

No. One price, every country, quoted in US dollars. There is no regional multiplier, no markup for a Gulf address and no discount for a local one. If you get a figure from us it is the same figure anyone else would get for the same work.

What does the maintenance plan actually cover?

Hosting on fast infrastructure, the security certificate, security patches as they are released, backups, uptime monitoring, and small text or photo changes when you ask. It does not cover new pages, new features or a redesign: those are quoted separately, or billed at the hourly rate below.

What happens if I don't take a maintenance plan?

You take the code, the domain and the hosting account into your own name and run it from there, either yourself or with any developer you like. This is the handover route and it costs nothing extra. The one thing to know is that a site nobody is patching is a site that ages, so if you go this way, make sure somebody owns that job.

Is the free domain really free?

For the first year, on any build, for a .com, .net or .co. It is registered in your name, not ours, so it is yours from day one. After the first year you pay the registrar's renewal price directly, which depends on the extension. Extra domains, and unusual extensions, are charged at what they cost.

What if I need something after the site is live?

Small text and photo changes are part of a maintenance plan. Anything structural, a new page, a new feature or a redesign, is charged at $65 an hour, or as a flat quote if the job is big enough to be worth scoping properly. You will always know which one it is before we start.

Can I start small and add to it later?

Yes, and it is often the right call. A Catalyst page can grow into a Foundation site, and a Foundation site can have a shop added to it. You pay the difference in scope rather than starting again, because the work is yours and we built it to be extended.

Do you take on projects below the entry price?

Not usually, and it is more honest to say so than to quote thin and cut corners. Below this range a good template on a hosted platform will serve you better than a rushed custom build, and we will tell you that rather than take the work.

Let's lay the
foundation.

Tell us what your business needs. You'll get an honest answer within one working day: what it takes, what it costs, and whether we're the right people to build it. No obligation either way.
